Solution to spray gun malfunction:
During the use of the spray gun, there may sometimes be some problems. Now, a detailed analysis of the phenomenon of the spray gun is conducted, and based on the phenomenon, the reasons are analyzed to find solutions.
Here are some common faults and solutions:
Left or right leaning
Reason:
1. The fan control hole on one side of the air cap is blocked
2. Damaged air cap
Countermeasures:
1. Cleaning the atomization cap
2. Replace the atomization cap
Spray center too thick
Reason:
1. The viscosity of the sprayed coating is too high
2. Spray pressure too low
3. The diameter of the nozzle and the ejector pin increase and decrease due to wear and tear
Countermeasures:
1. Reduce paint viscosity
2. Increase spray pressure
3. Replace nozzle kit
Spray splitting
Reason:
1. The viscosity of the coating is too low
2. Spray pressure too high
3. The inner diameter of the fan control hole is too large
4. Insufficient paint
5. Clogged atomization air channel
Countermeasures:
1. Increase the viscosity of the coating
2. Reduce spray pressure
3. Replace nozzle kit
4. Add sufficient paint
5. Clean the air passage of the spray gun
Jump gun
Reason:
1. The nozzle is not tightened or installed properly
2. Loose needle seal kit
3. Loose connection nut of spray gun (lower pot spray gun)
4. Insufficient paint in the pot
5. Damaged nozzle set
Countermeasures:
1. Tighten the nozzle or clean and install the nozzle kit
2. Tighten the top pin sealing kit
3. Tighten the connecting nut
4. Supplementary coatings
5. Replace nozzle kit
Spray upper or lower weight
Reason:
1. There is debris blocking the air outlet of the nozzle, ejector pin, or air cap
2. Damaged air cap or nozzle
Countermeasures:
1. Cleaning nozzle set
2. Replace nozzle kit
Phenomenon: Unable to spray paint or a small amount of paint appears
Reason:
1. The air replenishment hole of the gun pot cover is blocked or the air cap and suction pipe are severely blocked
2. There is no paint inside the pot
3. The travel of the ejector pin is too small
Countermeasures:
1. Clean the air replenishment hole, air cap, and suction pipe on the lid of the kettle
2. Supplementary coatings
3. Rotate the paint flow adjustment knob to increase the stroke of the needle valve
Leakage of paint at the nozzle
Reason:
1. The sealing nut of the top pin is too tight
2. There are foreign objects inside the nozzle port
3. The nozzle and ejector pin do not match or are damaged
4. Top pin return spring broken or not installed
Countermeasures:
1. Loosen the top needle sealing nut
2. Cleaning nozzles
3. Replace nozzle kit
4. Replace the top pin return spring or install the top pin return spring
Spray amplitude cannot be adjusted
Reason:
1. The control holes on both sides of the air cap are blocked
2. Damaged or incorrectly installed spray amplitude regulator
3. The air channel of the spray gun fan control hole is blocked
Countermeasures:
1. Clean the air cap
2. Replace the spray amplitude regulator or install it correctly
3. Clean air ducts
Unable to adjust air pressure normally
Reason:
1. Damaged air regulator or air valve
2. The return spring of the air valve is broken or not installed
Countermeasures:
1. Replace the air conditioner or air valve
2. Replace the air valve return spring or install the air valve return spring
Top pin seal leaking paint
Reason:
1. Worn top pin sealing ring
2. Top pin sealing ring gasket not installed
3. Top pin sealing ring spring damaged or not installed
4. Loose top pin sealing nut
5. Wear at the contact between the ejector pin and the sealing ring
6. The ejector pin does not match the spray gun
Countermeasures:
1. Replace the sealing ring of the ejector pin
2. Install the top needle sealing ring gasket
3. Replace or install the top needle sealing ring spring
4. Tighten the top pin sealing nut
5. Replace nozzle kit
6. Replace the nozzle kit that matches the spray gun
